About "GOLDEN AGE part I"

"GOLDEN AGE part I" is the culmination of a musical journey that spans nearly a decade. We, The Safety Word, embarked on this creative endeavor back in 2015, and through years of friendship and collaboration, we've arrived at a moment we truly believe is our creative zenith.

The album is a fusion of genres—synthwave, synthpop, and deep house—that encapsulates our love for nostalgia while also embracing modern sounds and techniques. We draw inspiration from the timeless memories of the 80s and 90s, those endless summers and the thrill of discovering new things during our formative years.

This album was made possible through the generous support of our Kickstarter campaign in early 2022. We are immensely grateful to everyone who contributed and believed in our vision. Your support allowed us to craft this musical journey.

A huge shoutout goes to our talented engineer, Ryan Fallis, whose expertise and dedication brought our music to life at Inventions Studios. We couldn't have done it without you, Ryan.

We also want to express our gratitude to the incredible artists who collaborated with us on this project: Mike Carl (Valoramous), Anton Tazhun (Spaceman 1981), Raman Zhavaranak, Aleh Zhavaranak (Outshift), and Luke Honey (Eckul). Your creative energy and talent enriched this album in ways we could only dream of.

"GOLDEN AGE part I" is a collection of our best upbeat singles from 2019 to 2023, offering a concise listening experience that defines our unique sound. It also includes two previously unreleased tracks—our revisions of Eckul's remixes, "United" and "Perfect Diamonds." These versions have become crowd favorites in our live sets, and we're excited to share them with you.

This album is not just music; it's a piece of our hearts and souls. We invite you to immerse yourself in the melodies, rhythms, and memories we've woven into "GOLDEN AGE part I." It's a sonic journey through time and emotion, and we hope you enjoy every moment of it.
